 Our company symbol – the mythological deity Electra – is a character of ancient Greek mythology which was used by prominent literary authors of Athens such as Sophocles, Euripides and Aeschylus in their everlasting tragedies.
In 1902, sculptor Boleslavas Balsukevičius embodied Electra in his sculpture, eventually mounted on the tower of the Vilnius Power Plant.
The sculpture illustrates how Electra defeats the dark element. She is starting a new epoch and is announcing the victory of human sense and creation, and liberation from slavery, thus, hailing an era of light and hope.
