Lietuvos Energija to Stand up for Company Interests more Rigorously

On April 19 of this year, by the resolution of the Management Board and in accordance with procedures established by legal acts, Lietuvos Energija AB intends to start a court claim for retrieval of the rental payment, made under the agreement on rental of a pedestal of the sculpture Elektra, entered into between Lietuvos Energija AB and Elektros Viešbutis AB (currently named Elektros Kapitalas AB) on December 30, 2005. The Management Board of Lietuvos Energija AB stated, that in defence of the company interests it is necessary to resort to stricter legal measures in order to liquidate negative consequences of the said agreement.
Following the intended termination procedures of the agreement and terms of informing contractual parties about the termination, in March of this year Lietuvos Energija AB unilaterally terminated this agreement.
At the initiative of the current management, already last summer Lietuvos Energija AB commenced seeking ways of how to alter the agreement, unfavourable to the company, signed in 2005 by the then management of the company regarding rental of the pedestal of the sculpture Elektra from the company Elektros Kapitalas AB
